
Jennifer has always wanted to become a multi-tasking celebrity. Growing up she was a fan of a range different musical styles, but mainly Afro-Caribbean music like salsa, merengue and bachata, and mainstream music such as hip-hop, pop and R&B. Although she loved music and film, the industry of cinema also intrigued her. West Side Story (1961), Rita Moreno's musical that greatly influenced her is also her biggest influence. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer wasn't just a talented entertainer. She also spent 8 years in a Catholic primary school, called Holy Family. Jennifer then completed her four-year degree at Preston High School. Jennifer excelled in athletics during her time at school, and was a champion in the track and field, tennis and volleyball. It was the Castle Hill neighbourhood was her place of residence for the bulk of her time. As a teenager, Jennifer moved out of the home of her parents. In the meantime, Lopez worked at a law firm while she took dance jobs in the evening.
