Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's children was born in Woodland Hills in 1956. The mother of the child was home and also mother to her children. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three older brothers. McCormick began singing and dancing in her early years and often performed plays with puppets for the children from her neighborhood. Her fairytale rise to fame started when she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 which led to an inquiry from an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her if she would like to work in show business. McCormick was offered her first significant task in 1964 as she acted in a commercial on television for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. The same year, she starred in another commercial that aired on TV for Chatty-Cathy's doll. Soon afterward, McCormick was chosen by La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of Wind It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the third of three head-to-head daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. This show lasted for five seasons. McCormick's autobiography Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in the year 2008. In it she revealed that McCormick almost lost her virginity while on set of the series during its fifth season to Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick revealed in her book Heres the story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Identifying My True Voice that in the fifth season of the show, she nearly lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. She said that it would be possible, however we didn't have the proper moment to make the decision.
